Currently, Downtik only supports downloading fb videos from fanpages, accounts, and public groups. We do not support downloading from private accounts or groups for Facebook security reasons.
There are 3 main reasons leading to download errors. First, the video belongs to a private account or closed group. Second, the video was deleted by the owner or restricted for viewers. Third, the link you copied is incorrect. In all these cases, Downtik does not support downloading.
Absolutely not. The process of downloading videos through Downtik takes place independently and anonymously. We don't require you to log in so your identity will not appear in any "viewed" list or notifications sent to the author.
You can definitely download livestream videos, but only after the live broadcast has ended and been saved by the owner as a regular video on the timeline. Downtik does not currently support downloading videos while they are being broadcast live.
